Fears and Phobias
Every human being is gifted with fear. Some ungrateful humans think that nothing can scare them, they’re fearless, invincible. To tell you the truth, an arrogant bastard is and will always be a coward. Although he is strong and brave, he will always be afraid to lose.
Everyone has their own fear. My dad is ophidiophobic, which is afraid of snakes. Funny, he used to be in the military in his younger days. Didn’t soldiers live in the jungle or something? While they’re at war, I mean.
My sayang is afraid of confined spaces or better known as claustrophobia. If I’m a big, tall giant and I’m stuck in box, I will know how it feels. My brother tortured me by trapping me in my mam’s travel case once. It wasn’t funny man.
My oh-so-macho brother is astrapophobic and acrophobic. He is afraid of thunder-lightning and heights. What a wuss! Hasif’s father is afraid of blood or homophobia. The moment he sees a drop of blood, he’ll faint. That bad. No wonder he’s a corporate lawyer.
I am suffering from selachophobia, fear of sharks. It’s all my brother’s fault. He made me watch Jaws when I was just a skinny lil twit. How terrible! Since then whenever I swim whether it’s a swimming hole or the ocean, I’ll start imagining bad things. Ya know what I mean. I once caught a small sand shark while fishing in Pulau Sibu. The moment I saw it, I threw my fishing rod at my dad and ran to my mam. In the end, I won the title ‘most catch’. I caught 54 fishes, including the shark in 3 days. Not bad eh. I may love animals but not once will i ever be near or swim with the sharks.
Do you have any serious phobia(s)? Come, tell me. Type it at the chatbox and state your name too.
"I have almost forgot the taste of fears.
The time has been my senses would have cool'd
To hear a night shriek, and my fell of hair
Would at a dismal treatise rouse and stir
As life were in't. I have supp'd full with horrors;
Direness, familiar to my slaughterous thoughts,
Cannot once start me."
---- William Shakespeare - Macbeth
"Courage is not the lack of fear but the ability to face it."

Prom Night
Prom’s over! Fiuh…finally! I had a great night at Sheraton Imperial and everything was just gorgeous. Yau chuan looks so HOT with the suit, the tie, the straight hair. Hahahaha! Damn, he was amazing. He still is. Anyway, I designed my dress and sent it to the tailor 4 days before the prom. She was one hell of a good tailor. She made the dress in 3 days and god damn it’s beautiful!
My buddy Sarah and I performed for the opening. Well, we forgot bits and pieces of our rehearsed performance but it was great. Sarah sang like an angel. And I…sigh, I was walking down the stage and Sarah accidentally stepped on my dress and broke the buttons behind my dress. So all the way, throughout the performance, I was clutching my dress so no one can see things they’re not supposed to see. After the performance, my friend gave me some safety pins and voala! It’s fixed!
It went through smoothly as I expected. The food was great, the guest band was alright, THEN one of the guest bands wanted a guy and a girl to dance a slow dance on the dance floor and my good friend Fareez was called out and unfortunately, I became his lucky no. 1. How embarrassing.
The best part was when the DJ put on some dance songs and we all ran to the dance floor and light our asses on fire! Oh yeah! Yau Chuan was one hell of a dance partner. We were workin’ it!
It was an amazing night. I hope there’s another chance for us to do it again. I will miss those people that I love and cherish. May god bless them all.
I Am What I Am
I tried this test on What LoTR Character Are You? and I'm Frodo. Of all characters. I hated Frodo in the story. I even hated him when I read the book. Why can't I be Lord Elrond or something?! Here's what it says about being a Frodo.
You are most like Frodo. You're very friendly, and you have a great personality. Although you like to have fun, you can also be pretty serious at times. It's pretty hard to get you mad, but once you're mad...everybody better look out! Keep that temper under control and realize that you're better off than you may think.
I guess what they say is pretty true. It's hard to tell what kind of a person you are. Only your close friends can really know. So to anybody who doesn't know me, read the paragraph above.
So Frodo Baggins my friend, I feel you!
Pain for Passion
Ok…I have come to the conclusion that last minute choreographing is not good! 5 hours of dancing the same thing over and over and over again made me realized my stamina gets shitty and shitty each day. Did you ever get this urge to sleep but just because you’re too tired your exhaustion makes you restless? I get that all the time! It sucks!
2 days ago, I stayed up late to choreograph a new dance for my dance group. It was torture the fact that I had to finish it by that night itself. After 5 hours of heavy breathing, hair flipping, leg kicking, and injuries from my desk, chair and bed, I finally finished the whole dance. Feeling tired and erm..sweaty, I instantly fell on my bed and closed my eyes. There I was, lying on my bed, eyes closed and breathing heavily, trying my very best to sleep. 2 hours later, my brain finally stop working and I fell into a deep sleep.
The next day, I woke up, grumbled to myself that I should have slept earlier, took a shower, put some clothes on and hurried to the studio. I taught the girls my new choreography. Thankfully they are fast learners. Dance and dance and dance for another 5 hours.
Today, as I woke up from bed, my whole body was aching from neck to toe and I know my body will ache until it is satisfied with its revenge. Sigh…like those footballers say “anything for passion”.
My body hates me right now. I have to figure out a way for my body to un-dislike me.
