Alrighty…
It has been so long since I thought of dropping out of UiTM and off to a private college. Local universities can really make me unhappy. Neways, I had a talk with my parents bout this situation and they agree that I should do what I want and be happy.
But…
They can’t afford to send me to a private college.
Baaaaaaaah!
So as I think and think and think of how to get money to send me to a private college, suddenly a dance company called Switch wants the Funky Socks to join them and become freelance dancers.
Not to worry, Funky Socks will still be around. It’s just a side thing ya know. Perform with professionals and all..hee…
Anyway, they told us that we could get 2 to 3 thousand a month with the average of 15 shows a month… wow… heaven…
Firstly, I can make money by working with them! Secondly, I’m working as a dancer!
Woohoo!
Well, it’s a bluddy big risk to do it but my future is very important so I guess I would have to take that risk. What’s life without risks, right?
I’m quite pressured by that risk though. I feel scared all the time.
The directors of Switch are pretty nice people. There’s two of them Naz and Micheal. They are gay partners. Hoohoo...
I told them bout my problem and they’re willing to help in any way. They’ve already called me up and throw me lots of dates for performances. That was fast… Sigh… I’m only 18 and I’m already supporting myself financially. I need hell lot of support from the people around me.
I love my friends...
I love my friends...I need my friends... can't live without them...
Ok..again, enough of sappy stuff.
By the by… I miss my long hair…
Haha… I took a few pictures of my self with my not-so-long hair in 2 different hairstyles. I know, I know… as Cynthia would say…cam whore. Whaaat? I’m still frustrated alright…

Hee…I’m so lame… Sorry bout that…a little bored here…
One day I'm gonna open my very own public zoo!

Foos Oh Foos
Today was the day Mahani Izzati Suleiman went to Breakers Hartamas and played Foosball for the first time!
First, Jon and I wanted to ber-chilling at Souled Out Hartamas. Me and my obsession with margarita on the rocks. But then that place is like full house to the max. Like TGI Friday’s people would say. Gila babi Slam sial!
Eeyeer… so kampung…
Anyways, we went to Safiz and yam cha there instead. From margarita to teh ais…tsk tsk…
This Jon ar was in ‘the mood’ to play foosball. From having ‘the mood’ it became an ‘I need’ to play. So he kept calling people to go play foosball but everyone was busy with their own thing. So sad. I pity him... I dunno how to play wor... So bravely I said “come we go…nevermind you can teach me.”
So we took a long walk to Breakers, change money and started playing. Ok, I suck! As a noob, I really suck.
One on one with Jon...
Mahani: Yaaaa! *kepiang! scored a goal* *makes evil laugh*
Jon: Where can! You play not ethical man! You can’t shoot into the goal with your 5 men!
Mahani: How I know right!
Jon: Fine, I give you chance since you first time play.
A few rounds after that…
Mahani: Wachaaaa! *kepiang! scored another goal with her 5 men*
Jon: Oi! Damn cheater man you!
Mahani: I didn’t do it on purpose ok!
Jon: Hmmph!

Tsunny: Why you wear so decent…so cover cover wan…
Mahani: Puasa month mar… respect a bit lor…
Hee…

Aih...I got pretty good scoring with my 5 men. Baaaah! Stupid rules!

Jon said I’m a cheater…I don’t wait for my opponent to fix his defend and I simply whack only. Nevermind! Get the ball..whack only la! So after a few games I let Jon play with this dude…apparently he’s good…darn good...
So while waiting for Jon… I walked around, met some people I know then stopped by at Cynthia and friends’ foos table. Whoa..they play damn serious man…

Around 1 something Jon and I walked back to his car which is park bluddy far from Breakers (thanks for the exercise Jon) and went to Mosin. Yamcha again...

I never thought foosball can be that fun…I promise I will practice every 3 times a week!
Hee…thanks for teaching me Jon!
Chop Chop Now
Ottey…
Last Sunday, I did the most shocking and craziest thing….
Cut my straight, very the long, black hair.
Sigh... my hairdresser Lily from Peekaboo, has been complaining that my split ends are up to 4 or 5 inches.
“You have to cut your hair! If you wait some more your hair will die!”
Those are Lily’s words. Well, the split ends are quite obvious actually. Usually a split end splits to two but mine splits to six! Per strand!
What to do… chop chop!
Lily: You don’t panic ar…(Cuts off the left side of my hair).
Mahani: Aaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!!!!!
Lily: Aiyo… it’ll grow wan la…(Chop chop!)
Mahani: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Pressure of the Century
Today TV3 aired the last show for Rexona No Sweat Dance Challenge. The Grand Finals.
Sigh... I feel so sad. That’ll be the last memory of our tortures but incredibly fun 2 months of our lives. A lot of things happen in that 2 months. I had to leave the girls for my stupid UiTM orientation. For a week! Raihan had to leave for Melaka. She comes back almost every night for practice. How crazy is that! The week before quarterfinals and semi-finals, we were all sick except for Cynthia. I had a kidney infection, Veronica had high fever, Raihan had a flu and Cynthia, she’s just mentally and physically retarded. In a healthy way. Hee…
And the last but definitely not least, PRESSURE!
Rexona No Sweat my butt! It pressured us for 2 months, god damn it!
Fiuh, I got it all out now.
Anyways, today’s show was the Grand Finals and god help me we were terrible at impromptu / freestyle. At first it looked alright then after awhile we started banging each other and making a fool of ourselves.
DorksThen came the judges’ choice number. Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy! Damn we were cute! BUT… I kinda made a teensy weensy mistake and the stupid camera-man focused the camera right on me! Why??? Why did you help Cynthia cover her mistakes in the semifinals and not me??? Why Mr. Camera-man??? Why??? And you focused on Cynthia’s face at my favourite part! You Cynthia lover! Baaah! Neways, we did a good job in the end. Apart from the bad camera focus!
My favourite part.
Anyhoo, I just looovveee our last challenge. Asmaradana + Safri Duo = Asmaraduo. The first part of Asmaradana was mesmerizing. I am so proud… tsk tsk (wipes tear). Then Safri Duo started. It was a shocking change actually. We were very synchronized and had full energy but that day was just a bad luck day for me. We tied a scarf around our body over black long sleeves as a costume and my scarf got untied and it fell. So throughout the whole Safri Duo the scarf was hanging around my waist. Damn ungly I tell you! Wait, I’m not done yet… the black long sleeves that we were wearing is a low neck so without the scarf I kinda flash. So they practically cut some of our scenes! Mother*&^%$#!!!!!

This is the part my scarf got untied
TENSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I should stop writing bout this. It’s giving me high blood pressure.
Okay, last Saturday, Funky Socks had a very busy day. In the morning, we went to Time Square in KL to help out a group of university students to do an advertisement. Their assignment is about making an advert about Rexona so coincidently they’re in the same faculty with Raihan so they asked for our help. So there we were, dancing in Time Square, making a fool of ourselves. After that, they belanja us McDonalds. Yumm!
So around noon, we went back to PJ to prepare for a performance on that night. My cousin asked us to peform for Tengku Kudsia College’s reunion at the Islamic Arts Museum. I know what you’re thinking, don’t worry they’re just using that place. There’s a restaurant in it. Nothing to do with religious whatever. Anyhoohoo, I received a call from my cousin asking whether we would like to rehearse there. So I picked up the girls and rushed back to KL. At 6.30, we went back to PJ to freshen up from the sweatiness. Around 8.30, rushed back to KL again, and do what we do best!
Basically, I walked, dance and drove the whole day. I drove back and forth KL three times. We even ate lunch in the car to save time! How sad is that!
Only 5 of us performed... Veronica, Kirsty and Fiona couldn't make it... Funky Socks has 8 dancers by the way...
The theme was Middle East so for the performance I choreographed a new song by Shakira called Ojos Asi. The song sounds very Lebanese and Arab-ish so in the dance I used tambourine and fans! And a lot of butt shaking! Heee….
