My computer is a real bitch.

I was happily changing my template and when I’m almost done *poof* all my windows disappeared.

Plus, I was downloading this big ass file from a friend through msn and when the window shut down, it was like 2kb left!

I cursed and cursed and cursed and finally when my patience took over, I clicked back to Internet Explorer and nothing happen.

My mouse wasn’t working.

I waited for awhile then started clicking.

Click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click

I think I clicked like a thousand times till my mouse came back to life.

In the end, voila!

Zouk Fever

For the first time in my life, I actually went to a club 2 nights in a row.

Ok ok. Before you call me a psycho, I can explain my disturbing behavior.

On Thursday afternoon, while having class, Lu Xanne invited me to Zouk that night cos she and the DJ girls and the DU dorks a.k.a Cynthia, Chris, Shaun, etc will be there to Ghetto.

Hrmmm….

In Mahani’s mind : *R&B. *Freestyling. *Drinking.

Heheheheh.. =)

Well.. you should know my answer.

My god, the amount of people I met and the amount of people in Zouk that night was unbelievably chaotic!

Salem Recharge Introducing Godskitchen Show @ Zouk

The next day, I had class in the morning. I’m still wondering how I actually woke up and drove to class. You know what I mean..

In the evening, my sayang picked me up after class and we went to Sungei Wang to get a Salem green top for myself. Salem green is really weird..

It can be lime green, fluorescent green, pokok green. Adoi…

Very the hard to find Salem green you know!

Done with the shopping, went back home, bathe, make up, Cynthia came over and off to Zouk around 9.30pm.

It felt really weird to be there again. And it felt extremely weird to be there early when there’s no one in the club yet.

In the changing room. Look at how we fill our boredom. Haha.. dorky camera models!

There's a shower room in Zouk!

We met the other dancers. Really really sweet people. Hee.. they actually recognized us from Rexona No Sweat Dance Challenge. Ahaks!

The four Salem dancers

Me! Don't I look different? Love the wig!

Around 12.30, our manager, Zul assigned us to a podium *with green lights* each and the rest is just freestyling.

Cynthia, shake that bootaaay!

Adik, Yeehaw!!!

Kak Ana, Sizzle Sizzle!

Me! Strike a pose!

Round Round Baby Round Round!

It was bluddy tiring but bluddy fun.

Firdaus asked me to go to Zouk tonight. I told him "Hell No!"

Lumut oh Lumut

Chronicles of Narnia Rocks!

Heh… apparently our show in Lumut was all about the Chronicles of Narnia. Before the show we’re dressed up as some characters in the movie and *mingle*.

While rehearsing in the studio…

Mahani and Cynthia : What?? Mingle?? What are suppose to do?? Talk to them??
Micheal : No la… just walk around and smile.. and people will be taking pictures with you..

Mahani and Cynthia : Haaah???

So yeah… it was bluddy fun fun fun. I feel like I’m in the movie…

Narnia ala Switch!

It was very tiring though… due to lack of sleep. I slept for about 2 hours the night before. Woke up at 5 am, Cynthia’s suppose to be at my house by 6 am but very smart Thia Thia woke up at 6 am! And we had to be in Cheras (where the studio is) by 6.30 am. Silly Thia..hahaha.. =)

On the way to Lumut, don’t know why but Cynthia and I can’t seem to sleep! So we were like “ya know…bla bla bla yada yada yada” yabbing away with our stories. Everybody else was sleeping and the other person who was awake was the driver.

So cheeky Cynthia and Mahani took out our cameras and snap snap snap!!!

I like outstation shows.. it's so fun!

Oh by the by... Cynthia and I will be performing in Zouk on Friday night 27th. Come come!

Can’t wait to swim!!

We shall have fun together-gether!

Can’t wait for Chinese New Year too!! A group of HELP students, Arif, Elaine, Nadia, Debbie, Alif and others (well, I’ve known them even before they got into HELP) and I will be holidaying in Langkawi!! Yay! I hope Joanna can come.. won’t be complete without her…

Should I take a flight or drive?

Fuuh! So many things coming up.. I’m so excited!!

Hee.. you must be thinking like *what the hell? Mahani’s updating!* Haha! I’m trying ok.. I’m trying…

I admit... I'm
Lazy!

So ya.. here goes…

New Years Eve Bebeh!

I thought my new years eve would be fantastic. Going up to Genting and enjoy the cool weather and fireworks from up there.. but noooooo… I had to stay in KL!

The Funky Socks had a show on New Years Eve at KLCC park for TV3. Thankfully it was in the evening. That TV3 dude told me it’ll be only an hour show, but nooooooo… the show was dragged for 4 hours because of the stupid rain!

This is the thing that can happen when you manage an outdoor event you idiots!

We were supposed to perform 2 routines. One for the opening and one for the closing. It was already drizzling when we were performing the first opening routine and it got heavier and heavier as time goes by. They made us wait wait wait wait… in the end we didn’t get to perform our 2nd closing routine. Pukimak, pantat ayam!

In the trailer

So the show was canceled but at least we manage to perform one dance.

Let me tell you how frustrated I was that day.

They put us on hold for about 3 and a half hours already so there we were in the trailer with our costume and heavy make up and of course, there was the rain. I wanted to go to the tent and ask the TV3 people whether we could leave. To avoid getting wet in my costume and make up, I borrowed a friend’s yellow umbrella.

So me and Ken Ming a.k.a Mukshi (Mukshi = gemuk – muk + shi..that is if you’re wondering) ran to the tent, left the yellow umbrella at the edge, talk to the TV3 dude, went back to the edge and *poof* the yellow umbrella was gone.

Mukshi told me he saw some f*cker using it to walk to the other tent. So we went back to the trailer where the rest of the Funky Socks was, I grab an empty box, put in on my head and ran to the other tent.

I looked like some crazy lady in white, with heavy make up and a box on my head, running around, asking strangers whether they have seen a yellow umbrella. When I gave up, I was practically soaking wet from shoulder to toe, feeling so frustrated and angry for loosing an umbrella that is not mine, plus the cancellation of the show. Pantat betul!

Anyhoo, I ran back to the trailer then suddenly I saw Mukshi holding the cute yellow umbrella I’ve been running around for. I felt relieved and frustrated at the same time. Muk told me some TV3 guy came to the trailer with it. Mother F*****!

Wooo…can’t take it anymore.. Tension!

The rest of the night, had dinner at an Indian restaurant with some friends then we decided to go to The Curve and celebrate New Year there. How bluddy sad….

Happy New Year everyone.

Malaysia Hari Ini Show @ Sri Pentas TV3

I slept really late that night and woke up feeling really tired and frustrated cos the Funky Socks had to perform another show, also for TV3 in TV3 Sri Pentas the next morning which is on the 2nd of Jan. Wait let me rephrase… the next really really early morning. It was a morning talk show called Malaysia Hari Ini and our performance starts at 7.15 a.m.

7.15 A.M.

Funky Socks came to my house to practice, (no time for studio practice people) and left my house quite late at night. As for me, I packed and packed and packed all the costumes and props, looked at the clock, 3 a.m. and decided not to sleep. 5.30 a.m. Funky Socks, Mukshi and Yau Chuan came to my house for last minute costume check and make up, oh my god..it was havoc! 7 people in one tiny room! The girls was running here and there and the boys, well.. "Ooh bed... (drops on bed).. zzzzz.."

We left my house at 6.45a.m to Sri Pentas.

In my room

Oh my... with all that rushing, I just realized we actually found time to take a picture. Hee... =)

In the waiting room

The guy in the middle, it's Ken Ming a.k.a Mukshi. We are his Dayangs and he is our Sultan.

Muah! Dance can be a real bitch.

I’m sorry if I talk too much about shows and dance or anything to do with dancing. It is the thing that makes me happy, something to let out my feelings when I dance but it can also be something that makes me feel frustrated, angry and upset.

For example, and event manager called the Funky Socks to perform in Genting Highlands for some company’s annual dinner on the 14th of January, we were so excited because all of our parents allowed us to go and even stay overnight. And the pay was pretty darn good too.

They wanted 3 dance shows. 10 minutes each. Woohoo… now that’s tough. So we rehearse and rehearse and rehearse then the next thing you know 2 days before the show, they told us our show was canceled.

~!@#$%^&*()

It was so heart breaking…

Our excitement, effort, money all went down the drain and no one can do anything about it.

This is what the entertainment industry is capable of.

I asked the Funky Socks if we could have a meeting somewhere to tell them the really really bad news. They were very upset of course but what to do…

We talk talk talk talk, “he’s such a bastard!” “my parents are so not gonna be happy bout this” bla bla bla bla then suddenly we came out with an idea of assigning posts for each Funky Socks to make things easier.

Fiona instantly asked for a pen and started writing posts on a tissue. Hey a good artist, song writer, poet writes on a tissue the moment an idea pops into their head ok

I am so proud of my girls, my acquaintance, my friends since childhood.

Our classic tissue from Friendster Coffee.
