A Tiring Weekend

Dania Hani’s baby open house!

On the 13th of May my family had a Muslim baptism (there’s a word for it in Malay but I’m not sure what you call it in English so give me a break) for my baby niece.

It was chaotic. Everyone wants to hold the baby. I can see my sister eyeing those who were carrying her baby. Damn her face was nervous.

The ceremony went well. It was conducted by my very the handsome ustaz (kinda like a priest. Muslim priest) and the food.. whoa.. excellent!

Daddy cutting the baby's hair. Part of the ritual.

AFOS show @ Sepang Circuit 14th May 2006

The hottest show I’ve ever done in my entire life!

When I meant hottest not sexy, eye popping, fantastic event.

Hottest in panas!

It was a very very heaty and sunny day. Sepang itself is so so hot and we were dancing on the racetrack after the race. Panas pantat!

I totally hate the choreography. Everything’s so unoriginal and blah!

Mahani, Hannah and Raihan

This show is Hannah’s first freelance job. Woohoo! Go Hannah! Go Hannah!

Let’s go angry…

Things have not change since what I wrote in my last post.

It has gotten worst.

After the show in Sepang, I had to go dinner with my family. Not just my family, with my mam’s siblings’ family too. The show really sucked all my energy out from my body so I dropped onto my parents’ bed and I accidentally slept.

Next thing I know, my parents were screaming and yelling at me.

“Go take a shower!”
“You’re really getting on my nerves!”
“You don’t seem to care about this family anymore!”
“You’re not concerned at all!”

Mother Fark!!!

People!! Explain to me!! What the fark did I do?????

I went all out for them and this is what I get in return??????

Imagine, you’re sleeping and suddenly people start yelling at you.

I was so shock. I couldn’t say a word.

After they marshal court me, they left for the dinner. Leaving me behind.

I found out today, my parents are giving my bed and my wardrobe to my sister. Without even consulting me.

I’m fed up!

And to everyone who thinks I don’t give a shit about my education, Go blow someone or yourself. There’s plenty of time for me to get extra knowledge. I don’t like rushing. I’ve got my own life, I’ve got my own plans. Mind your bluddy business. You hypercritical piece of crap!

I am so lucky I have my sayang, Joanna, Firdaus and Naim right now. I’d be mental without them.

Stop this Madness

I don’t usually post sad, depressing stories in my blog..

But now, I have to..

I’m angry. At my parents. But they don’t know that.

I’ve been avoiding them for days now. I just can’t stand seeing their ‘I don’t need this from you right now’ faces.

I moved out of own room. Why?

Because they want my sister and the baby to be around them.

Now my car belongs to my brother because his car is a piece of junk.

No room. I stay at Joanna’s place. No car. How the f*ck am I going to Joanna’s place and go to rehearsals?

I kept troubling Yau Chuan for chauffeuring me around. Thanks sayang for being there for me. And for making stupid lame jokes while I was crying the other day, just to make me smile. With your panic look and stutters. Cute la..

Ok ok, back to my depressing story..

For the past week, I’ve been living in my parents room. My bed is the floor. With my back condition, I cannot lie on the floor even for 5 minutes. Imagine 12 hours!

The pain is excruciating. So this is what I do every night. However tired I am, I’d stay up the whole night and wait for my parents to wake up so I could sleep on their bed.

And because of that, they would yell at me for not sleeping at night.

My cat. The only place she can run around is in my room. My mam hates it if she’s running independently in the house. With the baby in my room and my asthmatic brother, my cat obviously can’t be free from her cage anywhere. Last resort, my parents room. They’d shriek, complain, and yell if they see her doing anything suspicious like sniffing the bed, scratching the carpet, looking like she’s about to pee or shit etc…

And if they want to bring the baby in their room, the cat has to go. Poor Stinky Pooth..

I gave everything. Without complains and without sulking my face. I have no room, no car, no space, no privacy and they still put everything else first before me. They’d rather trouble me just so they could satisfy others. What am i? A walrus?

I am your daughter. I am a human who apparently still have feelings. I’m 19 and I’m already supporting myself financially. I have a 30-year-old brother who still lives under your freakin roof and asking for your freakin money. What more do you expect from and of me?

Look, I know they’re excited bout their first grandchild and all. And they want everything to be perfect for her while she’s growing. But mam, daddy, I’m still your baby too…

Funky Socks goes to Penang!

Penang was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went there for only 2 days, 1 night and it was fun fun fun!

Ottey, before I post more happy moments and pictures, let me tell you what happen 1 month before the show. I want to end this post with happy thoughts…

When the client called a month before the show, I quickly start choreographing and teaching in one week because Reason no. 1: I got 3 new dancers so I don’t really want to rush them. They have not experienced Funky Socks’ extremely last minute rehearsals. Reason no. 2: I’ve got exams the week before the show. But in the end, I spoke to my mam and decided not to take it since I’m shifting to ASK. Reason no. 3: Hell lots of Switch shows!!!

So I bought and made all the costumes for that specific show in a week and a half and one fine day 2 weeks before the show while we were showing the client (TM Net) our routines in Cyberjaya, they rejected our opening dance because apparently the song is too TV3.

Fuuuuuhhhhh…

So due to our busy schedule, I had to re-choreograph and teach in a week. Then, they asked what we’re wearing, blablablablabla, and they’re fine with our costumes but they are not fine with the colours. TM Net’s corporate colour is orange, white and blue. In the end, I had to buy and make the costumes all over again!

Baaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!

So ok, demanding clients is a natural thing. I’ve learned one lesson out of this. It is a must to ask the client about their corporate colours and make sure they know what song we’re doing.

Picture time!

Erm...

The Client

We look so orange!

The end of the day, we put a big smile on the client’s faces and they told us they might put us in every road show they’re doing until November. The road shows will be in Kuantan, Ipoh, The Curve, Johor Bahru, Sabah, Sarawak and Sunway Pyramid. Yay!

I’m trying to figure out how to put the video of the show in here. That’ll take awhile. So hold up.
